3P's visit to Bradshaw Brook, Bolton

The sun shone brightly when 3P visited Bradshaw Brook as part of their new topic on rivers. Everyone enjoyed - adults included - wading into Bradshaw Brook to take part in a duck race in order to measure the speed of the river.

The children also spent time investigating which aquatic invertebrates live in the river.

Time was also spent looking at the physical features of Bradshaw Brook. Water and soil samples were taken so there is lots to investigate back in the classroom.

A great day was enjoyed by everyone.
