Making a clay beaker

This week children in year 3 have been making a Beaker folk clay coil pot. It was a fun packed afternoon and the children loved getting messy making their clay pots. They first designed their pot deciding on the shape, size and pattern and then went on to making the clay pot.

Ingleborough Cave

3T started the new school week with a trip to Ingleborough Cave in North Yorkshire. It was a crisp, dry autumn day; perfect for a slow walk to the entrance of the cave taking in the glorious countryside around us. There was time to enjoy a picnic and let off some steam before descending into the cave. Our guide, Steph, gave us a fascinating tour of the cave pointing out different features and tried to scare us with her tales of witches and wizards. All too soon we had to make the journey back to Blackpool. Good times!            Ready to start the uphill journey to Ingleborough Cave. Time for a rest! Perfect place for a picnic! Inside the cave.
