Science in 3T

As part of their topic, Mighty Metals, this week 3T had to set up an investigation to find out whether the clothes they wear on a slide makes a difference to the speed they travel down it.

Different materials were wrapped, in turn, around a wooden brick and timed sliding down a piece of  guttering. The children had to predict which fabric would travel the fastest and slowest.               T

The wooden block wrapped in silk slid down the fastest while the patterned fabric took the longest.
So for a smooth, fast slide wear silk!
