Tomorrow, at morning break, Year 3 will be selling a cup of juice and a small Easter egg. Enjoy an end of term treat.
Mini Olympics
Although it was chilly, It didn't stop Year 3 from enjoying their mini Olympics. After promising to play fairly, the children competed against each other in the long jump, discus and a running race.
Ancient Greek Day
Today Year 3 came to school dressed as gods and goddesses to take part in their Ancient Greek day. There were even some Spartan warriors and a very scary Medusa! The children made laurel wreaths and learnt a Greek dance which they showed their parents when they came into school this afternoon. The children also tried some Greek food. The pitta bread and grapes were declared delicious although the olives were an acquired taste! A good day was had by all!
Year 3 Welcome A Greek Hero.
Our visitor told us tales of Gods, Heroes and mythical creatures. Later on we found out about the lives of the ancient Greeks.
